Quick and easy high protein porridge. Directions: Weigh 100 grams of oats mix with 500ml of water, add sweetner to taste. Cook in microwave on full power for 3 mins. Remove, let the oats stand for 3-5 mins to cool before adding 2 scoops of your favourite protein powder. Stir in the powder well - and bingo there you go! Quick and easy high protein porridge.
Try adding 1 tablespoon of udo's oil of flax oil when cooled for a more creamy texture and to add to the nutrition of this meal.
The oats and protein powder will roughly provide 60 grams of complex carbs, 50grams of protein and around 590 calories.
With 1 tablespoon of udo's you get roughly an extra 1oo cals and 12 grams of fats.

teaspoon of cinnamon for me! Takes away from the taste of the whey. Never have managed to find a completely tastless whey isolate. |

I do this for breakfast, I just don't combine the two! - i.e. whey in water and a bowl of oats. Is the whey unflavoured that you use PJ? |

No i use use different flavours - never unflavoured. Cook your oats first as they will digest better. |

i do every morning mate, with vanilla flavour as it is the easiest way to get extra protein into you. obviously not as easier as a shake but its great added protein |

I used to do this but then found it was quicker and tastier just to have oats, some protein powered mix with water, done.

Yeah but you wont absorb no where near as much of the nutrients from the oats if you dont cook them... |

An excellent meal, This is ideal meal one. could even stretch another tbsp of oil. |

honey is an Ideal source of natural sweetener, but would prefer a tsp of dextrose. |
