whats your views on this i could eat it by the bucket eat like 2 tins a day just wondering is it good or bad seems to have plenty of carbs and little fat cheers
Sugar sugar sugar... it got loads of refined sugar which are empty carbs. Also you dont really know what milk is used. Having worked one time in a chocolate factory, (Fry's in Keynsham) the milk will be powdered and possibly full of impurities. Get brown rice and cook it yourself or even "boil in the bag" rice. You can flavour it with various curry mixes. I do that as well as pouring some soy sauce on it.
Brown rice is unrefined and still has the natural ingredients in it, white rice generally has many of them refined out, white rice is polished rice...it is brown rice with everything removed except for the starch portion of its kernel. (but I use it as its easier to boil! ) Curry contains no chenicals, its ingredients SHOULD be natural herbs such as chili, coriander, cumin, etc. Just check the packet or bottle to see whats inside.

2. "Macrobiotic proponents claim that the traditional (Japanese) diet was based on whole brown rice, not refined rice." The macrobiotic proponents are correct. According to the Encyclopedia Britanica: "The Chinese and East Indians, who ate brown rice for centuries, began to suffer from widespread malnutrition after the British introduced white rice."
Just one note on the brown versus white rice thing. I mentioned it because brown is preferable but really I think people make too big an issue out of this. The difference between the two is really minimal! Again, check out the nutritional labels. So if you have a strong preference for white just go for it rather than depriving yourself.

I love ambrosia, rice pudding is a great breakfast dish or pre workout carb blast , make your own with skimmed milk and you can add flavours like cinnamon or crushed almonds or various fruits. Use an low cal sweetner if not sweet enough, and rice pudding is a dish that can taste good chilled so you can add in a scoop of your fave protein as well.
