I am experiening pain in the shoulder joint which limits strength and power especially in bench press and shoulder press. It kind of feels like a pinch nerve and sometimes at night after excerise I can feel numbness down to my elbow. If I lay off the weight it does get better but as soon as I up the weight I have issues again. Been happening for the last 6 months, Anyone had silimilar isses and know how to treat it.
I read a bit about frozen shoulder and that does seem to be similiar

mate i had exactly the same thing happen to me about 2 years ago at night after i had done shoulder presses in the workout. i was trying to be a hero without warming up properly!!! it took about 6 to 8 months to go and i didnt do shoulder presses for that entire time, i was to scared too. i learnt a hard lesson that day. im not saying you have the same problem through not warming up properly but the only thing i found that helps is plenty of rest. mine go so bad it travelled down to my hand and started effeting my grip. got pins and needles with it to.

This sounds exactly what i've been going through for about 3 months mate. I've started seeing a physio who says it's some sort ofimuscular impingement somewhere in the shoulder or rotator cuff.

Basically you have to stop doing anything that aggravates it and get to a doc for some anti-inflammatories. I use ice twice a day for about 20 mins and that seems to help it along. Been to a physio who's started me off now on some very gentle strengthening exercises(without weights) .He' got me doing those rotator cuff exercises with one of them rubber band thingys u can tie to a door.

i'd urge you to get to the doc mate cos believe me it's a nightmare and will just get worse if u try and train through it..i havent benched or shoulder pressed since october ! been able to train legs and a bit of arms but havent done any pressing for months cos the pain got so bad i couldnt even get the bar off the rack!!

Hope this helps mate.
