hi all, was wondering if anyone had any advise.

two months ago, i hurt my left back shoulder when driving a car without power steering (can happen).  went to docs who gave some anti-inflamotary pills.  most of the pain went away after a 6 week course, went back to gym however i have lost most of my power on that side, i cannot do bench, shoulder or triceps becuase i have lost so much power in my left, my right is fine can still lift same weight.

i do not have any pain in the shoulder but only loss in power, i have to do very light weights which dont really do anything for me especially for my right side.

i have had enough rest but i cannot seem to get the power back in the left side.

for example i can lift 30kg on my right doing shoulder press using dumbells but my left can only manage   12kg (set of 10) and if i try say 15kg weight i can only do about 5 before it fails.

any help to get back to the same weight would be appreciated, any excersises or supplements to help.

thanks.

sounds like a trapped nerve or summit mate. my mate had this were he had no power in 1 side of his arm. his was caused by lifting way to much and asking me to spot and take most of the weight for him. would go back to the doctor or physio maybe

Yes if one side is considerably weaker than the other then you def have a problem somewhere along the line - most probably to do with your nerves. Seek physio to get it rectified but in the meantime stick with barbells and do a weight that your weakest side can handle - that way your body wont get out of sync.
