I`ve not been at the gym for 8 weeks because of shoulder tendonitis.

I have 90% shoulder and arm movement but when I raise my arm up In a front delt movement It feels like something is biting my delt right In the joint.

I was told that I will more than likely need a steroid Injection, anyone had this done before?

I`m so frustrated right now.

jase.

the doc may give you a cortisone steroid injection straight into your shoulder joint/tendons/cartlidge and yep i had one 2 years back for a torn tendon due to lifting a lorry brake drum wrong, it will fvck you up for weeks and be stiff as bugger mate and its not the nicest experience when they do it either but it does solve the problem although im sure it would solve itself with rest---- i had a shoulder problem/tendon problem exactly the same as you have mentioned above where i couldnt do front raises or dips as it felt like it was pinching in the actual shoulder joint itself, that was about 2-3 months back but i worked round it in the gym and during day to day life and it did heal itself but took about a month of gentle exerscise and stretching!
upto you how you want to go about it but i would seriously think about seeing a sports physio first about it rather then a normal doctor as doctors just take the quick way out of it ime wich is to give you drugs you really dont need tbh -- a sports physio will look at it properly and give you the best treatment plus keep you active etc

Cheers guys, I did mention to the doctor that I didn`t fancy the injection as I had read that It can cause more harm than good.

I have the physio on thursday and I went and had x-rays on the shoulder today at the hospital.

Hopefully by the end of the week I`ll have some answers.
